Sacred Heart Hospital ,Jalandhar was established on 16th May 1985 as a 50 bed hospital with the  help of Misereor Aachen Germany. It had four departments namely Medicine, Surgery, OB & Gynae and Pediatrics. The hospital is run by the Sisters of Jeeva Jyoti Province Delhi, of the Sacred Heart Congregation which was started in Kerala in 1911.Now Sacred heart hospital is 200 bedded multi & super speciality hospital. There are 12 speciality department and 9 super speciality departments with 53 doctors. We serve out patient as well as in patient with 24 hours facility.

The lab facilities were started in the year 1985 under the leadership of Dr. Laurence & has currently all specialized labs of Pathology, Microbiology& Biochemistry.

Sacred heart hospital has fully automated diagnostic unit with world class equipments. Lab is equipped with fully automated Vitros 5600,Vitros 250, (for biochemistry and hormones ,Vitros ECI(Enhanced Chemiluminescence)(for hormones) of ortho clinical diagnostics(Johnson & Johnson), XN-550 , XN-330(Sysmex) for hematology &  Cepheid GeneXpert for viral markers which are well known for their accuracy & good quality of results throughout the world.
