Laboratory Informations for Patients and its users
Location : Second floor Lab, Sacred Heart Hospital,Maqsudhan,Jalandhar
Working hrs.: OPD Working hrs. – 8am to 4.30pm (Sunday – Holiday)
IPD and Emergencies -24 ꓫ 7 hrs.
Procedure for Sample Collection Request:
▪TRF form is available with Clinician’s OPD, Wards as well as in Causality
▪ Samples are collected in Lab Sample collection area, Wards and in Emergencies
Advisory Services:
▪The reception staff is trained to answer customer queries and in case of any doubt they consult the senior staff/pathologist/clinician who have prescribed the investigation
▪ Timing for the availability of advisory services: – 8am – 6pm
Requirement for Consent:
The following investigation required written consent
▪ Bone Marrow Aspiration
▪ Fine Needle Aspiration
▪ HIV testing
▪ Written consent is not required for routine investigations. When patient gives blood sample specimen voluntarily for investigation it is understood as implied consent.
Complaint Process:
▪ All complaints are taken seriously and action taken immediately regarding the customer needs
▪ Subsequently the action is taken to ensure that such complaints are not to be repeated
