The Sacred Heart hospital has a well equipped licensed Blood Bank. It is located in the ground floor of the hospital and provides safe blood. Volunteer Donors screening and replacement of blood are done between 8.00 AM and 7.00 PM.

All the blood bags are tested for the following to assure safe blood transfusion
- Blood group and Rh
- Hemoglobin
- Screening for malarial parasite
- VDRL
- HIV ELISA
- HCV ELISA
- HBsAg ELISA
All blood bags are examined visually for turbidity and particulate matter, colour damage , air in the bag, leakage, and expiry date etc. Sterility of blood bags are tested once in every month by culturing blood from random bag.
